The Easter Bunny Visits Mexico

A couple years ago when I was in Mexico at Easter, I brought some plastic eggs and some bags of candy so that Alejandro's little nephew could experience the "gringo" custom of an Easter egg hunt.  I did the same this year. 

He and his parents live upstairs from his grandparents.  When he came downstairs there was a card in plain sight for him.  It was from the Easter Bunny!  He remembered what that meant.  There were candy filled eggs for him to find!  He scurried all over the patio and rooms of his grandparents' house looking for the hidden eggs.  Every time he found one he would squeal with delight, "Another one!"

I wonder how long before this six-year-old realizes that the only time the Easter Bunny comes to Mexico is when I am visiting at Easter?  He's pretty smart.  I wouldn't be surprised if he has already figured it out, but it certainly has not dampened his enthusiasm.
