Governor Phil Murphy today declared a State of Emergency effective 8 pm, as New Jersey prepares for another coastal storm
This storm is not predicted to be as strong as the nor'easter that the Jersey Shore and other states along the East Coast over the weekend with heavy winds. It is, however, expected to bring a mix of rain and snow, along with more strong winds.
"[The storm] is expected to hit us tonight through tomorrow, bringing wet, heavy snow," Murphy said. "Please do not venture out on the roads during the storm."
The next high tides will be at 11:42 pm tonight and 12:01 pm; Thursday's high tide times are 1:30 am and 1:51 pm.

Rain likely before 9 pm, then rain and snow between 9 pm and 4 am, then rain, snow, and sleet after 4am. Low around 36. Breezy, with a southeast wind 13 to 20 mph becoming east after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
Wednesday
Rain and snow, becoming all rain after 9 am. High near 43. Breezy, with an east wind 17 to 24 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday Night
A chance of rain, mainly before 7 pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Thursday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 22 mph.
