Last-Minute Travel Prep . . . and Running for the Plane . .
Almost packed -- just the last-minute fussing left. . .
After a busy, family-packed weekend -- condo full to the brim with little folk and their parents bunking here and there -- I had a few pre-packing errands to do:
-- pick up hair product (TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier), of which I'd mistakenly believed I had another container
-- finish off the toe of one sock so that I could cast on for the second one, an all-important element in my flight survival routine. . .
-- cast on and set up pattern of the beret I'll knit after I've finished that second sock (or I may alternate between projects, depending on boredom levels)
-- remembered (WHEW!) to pop the Travel Converter in my case
-- downloaded one more book from the library -- Do you see a "Fear of Nothing To Do" pattern here?
-- bought and printed a ticket for the tram from the Airport to City Centre --
And decided that my purple pleated midi-skirt gets to come along -- it was the wild card in my carry-on capsule wardrobe, but I've so enjoyed wearing it these last few weeks that I'm ignoring the wisdom of neutrals. . . Or declaring Purple to be the New Black, or some such. . .
After all, I'm wearing my pink oxfords (and packing my metallic gold-black ones -- two pairs only, this trip. . . we'll see how that works out, keeping in mind that I currently have a hole in my shoe wardrobe and Europe's not a bad place to fill that. . .
Before I go, thank you for all the lively and lovely comments you've left on the last few posts -- life has been getting in the way of my answering them as much as I usually do, as I like to. But I do read them all and I hope you continue to leave them -- and to chat among yourselves. I intend to post while traveling, but I don't know how often I'll manage that. I'm likely to post more frequently on Instagram because that's easy to do from my phone.
Okay, better go now. . . xo
