Alejandro's family has two dogs.  One of them is a mutt that they found on the street eight years ago.  They brought her home, adopted her and gave her the name Luna.

Luna is generally is suspicious of strangers, but from the very first time I visited Alejandro's house she has been friendly with me.  Luna is very affectionate with those whom she trusts, and she loves to be petted, scratched and rubbed.  I could spend hours petting her, and she would still want more.  When I stop, she nuzzles me or lifts her paw to say "More!"

The only down side to this is that after being with Luna, my clothes are covered in dog hair.
